The exterior of the Farmhouse has been refinished in stone and one salon dedicated to dining is partly based on the original structure and partly cut from the living rock. Here you can dine while enjoying a panoramic view of the Lepontic Alps, or take in the scenery from our large outside terrace. We provide a total of eleven beds distributed over five rooms, each with its independent facilities and each decorated in a different period characteristic of this region. In addition, our premises have been designed to remove all obstacles to wheelchair access. From the agriturismo you can take a walk to the area where we raise swine and to our greenhouse where we gather our seasonal, organically grown vegetables or to the henhouse where we collect our eggs, and nearby you can even have a chat with our horses. Then you can venture forth into the hills where you will meet our Sardinian donkeys, or goats in the pasture, and during the summer our calves browsing in the fields.

Our kitchen offers traditional local dishes, not to mention our chef’ s imaginative variations on these traditions. You can watch the preparation of our homemade luncheon meats, buchons of goat’ s cheese, homemade chestnut flour pasta, and ravioli. You can enjoy the beef from our own cattle, braised donkey, roasted suckling pig, our lamb or goat cooked in delicious spices, and finally our homemade breads and cakes. Local produce available at our farm are salame, cotechini (special pork sausage), mortadella (a type of bologna), bacon and pork rind, salami and small cured sausages made from donkey meat or from mutton, and goat cheeses.

Where We Are

The Zoca di Strii is 80 km (50 miles) from Milan, 20 km (12 miles) from Como, and 30 km (20 miles) from Lugano. If you are coming from Milan on the Milano Laghi highway(the autostrada), follow the sign “ Ultima uscita per l’ Italia, Cernobbio, Menaggio” (Last Exit for Italy), then go to the round-about at Cernobbio Tavernola, and enter the tunnel for the main road to Moltrasio, Menaggio, which will take you to Argegno. A hundred meters before entering the built-up area make a left and follow the signs to Erbonne Schignano, then look for our Zoca di Strii signs. If you are coming from Lugano, exit at the border at Ponte Chiasso, follow the sign for Como Cernobbio, and go to the round-about at Cernobbio Tavernola, then proceed as described above. We provide private parking on the premises.
