The Staudingers have been innkeepers for generations. Our “ Shangri-la guesthouse” is small but sweet. Hospitality pure in soothing surroundings away from mass tourism and Wellness temples. Another kind of Wellness to be enjoyed with all 5 senses. Enjoyment and serenity - relaxation at no charge.

Excellent cuisine, varied choice of menus. A wonderful garden oasis with solar heated swimming pool – the swimming season starts on 1st May (exceptionally a bit later if the weather is unusually cool for the season – 10x5 m). Deck chairs, table tennis, doll house, cats, baby rabbits and the miniature ponies Miranda and Magic enliven the exterior.

A lay-in breakfast is literally “ tiquette” in our “ hangri-la Guesthouse” as you are on holiday and not on the run.


For the mountaineers amongst you, there is of course an early-bird breakfast with automatic wake up call.


We can even take you to the starting point and pick you up again after your hike.

For families: the Nixhöhle (caves) in Frankenfels, Riding stables, Western village in Rabenstein, big outdoor swimming pool with giant slide in Kirchberg, lake bath Sehnsucht in Hofstetten, just to mention a few.

For culture adepts: Stift Melk (convent), Göttweig, castle Schallaburg, a day trip to Vienna (if you wish, you can take Mr. Staudinger along as your guide) with a Heurigen (wine inns) to round off your trip (price by arrangement). A boat trip on the Donau, and so much more. The world famous Mariazell Basilica (pilgrimage site)
